IPMA-Canada welcomes HR toolkit report

April 3 2006 - IPMA-Canada is developing the global information content it provides to its members through international partnerships established with IPMA-HR in the USA and links to the United Nations Public Administration Programme.

To emphasize these international connections, IPMA-Canada is supporting the release of Human Resource Recruitment and Best Talent Retention Tool Kit for the Public Sector, a report published by the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs. IPMA-Canada considers that this report will interest all HR professionals, especially those providing service in the public sector with responsibility for the management of human resources.

Karen Pettit, President of IPMA-Canada, says:

"This comprehensive resource provides current research, best practices and key information for recruiting and retaining talent in the workplace. As the baby boomers begin retiring over the next few years, employers will be faced with a new generation of workers with different needs and expectations. IPMA-Canada recognizes human resource professionals need quality resources to support them with succession planning to support our changing workplaces and this tool kit is an excellent resource."

The report is packed with links to case examples, HR strategies and approaches, case studies and papers on support tools for recruitment and selection.
