HRM on the Worldwide Web
You might be:
- A student with a term paper, essay or dissertation to write - with the deadline looming.
- A tutor trying to provide supporting material for your course - starting soon.
- A manager needing to understand the legal implications of dealing with that difficult member of staff
- An employee being bullied at work and wanting to know how to make the organization treat you with respect.
The obvious solution seems to be: look for the answers on the Internet. But that's where your problems start. Where and how do you begin your research? How do you avoid trailing through endless pages of useless results, dead links and unhelpful 'members only' sites? What are the best search strategies for HR? Which are the best sites? How do you collect and organize the material you find?
This series of articles is aimed at answering some of these questions and helping you to make the best of the worldwide web.
