A Look at MS Teams Planner Kanban

July 20 2022 - There is no doubt many organizations use the Microsoft Office suite. Microsoft has created several solutions aimed at enhancing productivity and all these tools can be accessed from one central place. Unfortunately, not every organization has been able to fully utilize these tools with some of them even considered to be redundant.

One of these tools is the Microsoft Planner Kanban, a tool for efficient project management and task organization. In any organization’s setup, working as a team is key; especially for those team members working from remote locations. MS Office apps such as MS Teams and the MS Teams Planner Kanban are very effective in task management in a collaborative environment.

MS Planner Kanban can either be used on its own or be integrated into the Microsoft Teams app for even better performance. The Office 365 Kanban Planner can play a key role in enhancing the productivity of your team as well as more reliable outcomes. Let’s look at the MS Teams Planner Kanban in detail.

What is MS Teams planner Kanban?

The MS Teams Planner Kanban is a solution that can be used by a team to plan, organize and manage tasks as well as projects. This solution can be accessed anywhere at your convenience. When using Kanban, you can easily focus on a specific task and choose the team member who is best suited to execute it. This solution can be interlinked with other Office 365 apps such as Outlook, Teams, and so on.

Microsoft Planner enables you to create Kanban boards which are then utilized in task management. With the Kanban boards in the Teams planner, users can assign tasks to members of a group and at the same time keep track of the status of the tasks. Using the MS Teams Planner Kanban, you can be able to make great improvements in project quality as well as speed.

How to add a Kanban planner to Microsoft Teams?

Remember that the Kanban board can function independently but for better-optimized performance, you need to link it with the Teams App. Currently, no feature in Teams or Office 365 allows you to quickly add a Kanban board. You will have to use the Microsoft Planner to create a Kanban board and then embed the board into the Teams app.

Adding a Kanban board to Teams will not affect the performance of the app in any way as it creates a separate tab that your team members can work from. Just open your Teams app, open the Teams space, and select the plus icon to add a new tab. Follow the instructions the board you just created will be saved to the app.

Does Microsoft come with Kanban?

The MS Office package does not come with a direct Kanban solution but you can create one yourself using the MS Planner. Any content you create using the MS planner can easily be embedded into the Teams app or any other app that comes as part of the MS Office 365 package.
